One suggestion was that we need volunteers who can act as advocate/helpers for people who are having trouble getting a service. For example if a person has trouble negotiating a web site for delivery services they could ask for help from a volunteer who would walk them through the process remotely.

Introduction
Our primary role is to keep everyone safe. We cannot delay setting priorities for management of safety, essential services, communication and emergency assistance. And it is critical that we explore and implement safe ways to continue tapping into Wayland’s long history of volunteerism.

This site is not directly affiliated with the Town of Wayland (https://www.wayland.ma.us ). It has been created by a group of residents after consulting with relevant Town Board members. We intend to coordinate a roster of volunteers to support the Town’s most vulnerable.
